Entammede Jimikki Kammal Video Song; An open call to Kerala tradition

Though the song 'Entammede Jimikki Kammal' speaks about those old traditions of the state, it is set on a college campus. 


Jimmikki Kammal, one of those traditional ornaments worn by the old grandmas of Kerala, becomes a trending topic. But this time, it is not getting popular as a traditional ornament but as it remains the main thrust for a song in superstar Mohanlal’s upcoming film ‘Velipadinte Pusthakam.’ The song starts ‘Entammede Jimikki Kammal’ is a recall of those old situations prevailed in Kerala.

The song Entammede Jimikki Kammal speaks about the drinking habit of men. It was a normal saying that the men used to buy their drinks selling even the gold ornaments of their wives. The song will relate you to the normal families of Kerala.

Though the song speaks about those old traditions of the state, it is set on a college campus. The song is sung by a group of young people who represent the young generation of the land. The director too wanted to picture the fact that the youth are aware of traditions.


Vineeth Sreenivasan and Renjith Unni sing the song which is composed by Shaan Rahman. Anil Pachooran penned the lyrics.

Velipadinte Pusthakam is an upcoming Malayalam movie starring Mohanlal and the 'Angamaly Diaries' fame Anna Reshma Rajan in lead roles. Lal Jose is the director. Antony Perumbavoor produces the film under his production house banner 'Aashirvad Cinemas.'
